DAY 24 – 10 April 2020

Well, it was a good Friday on Good Friday. You can just tell it’s going to be a good day when your littlest terror doesn’t wake up until just after 8am!!! The unbridled joy shown by my wife at this unexpected turn of events was probably only previously matched when I once surprised her with a spa voucher and she realised it was only for 1 person.
So we inevitably had a nice quiet morning before Steph took the kids out for the lunchtime walk whilst I braved the supermarket armed with a ridiculously long shopping list. I once again didn’t have to queue to get in but once in the repeated pleas by staff to maintain 2m apart was squarely ignored by what felt like 90% of the customers. 😡 We’ve had some time in the garden, and watered the flower beds (E mainly watered M) before some FaceTimeing and of course the obligatory episodes of Paw Patrol. Those pups are really doing my head in with their endless chirpiness and ridiculous storylines. Anyway that will be for another day.
Were there any snippets of joy today? Of course there were but I’m only allowed to share 5…

1. Meltdowns. No day during lockdown would be complete without at least one meltdown. Steph does try to hold it together most days (occasionally she just gives up and gives us all an ear bashing) but today she was actually very behaved. The meltdown therefore came courtesy of E who really REALLY wanted to take her scooter on the walk. Steph really REALLY did not want her to take it. An impasse quickly formed and there was only going to be one winner. Daddy tried to help. Daddy really wasn’t a help. Daddy received death stares for getting involved. Daddy backed away and just went to the shops. 😤
2. Adverts. Let’s be honest, despite our best efforts and all the other activities we try and engage our little angels in, they are definitely having more screen time than normal. The problem with some of the channels E likes is that there are wall to wall adverts for everything you would never want to buy your child – slime, unicorn poo, weird insect toys etc etc. And apparently she wants every single item for her Christmas. She has essentially written her Santa letter at the beginning of April. Sadly Santa is not getting her any of it – not on your nelly! 🎅🏼
3. Spying. Steph received the first photo below from our neighbour this afternoon. Apparently we have raised a peeping Tom who has (without our knowledge as we thought he was just playing nicely in the garden) taken to watching the neighbours playing next door. Perhaps they are more fun than us?!?! 👁
4. Birdies. On the walk at lunchtime it appears a compromise was reached and E took one of her teddies instead of her scooter (wise decision my daughter!) and announced it was called Mr Cuddles. Apparently they heard a tweeting bird and E asked why it was making a noise. Ever the educator, Steph replied that it was calling for its husband to which E replied “No Mammy. I think it’s a Daddy bird and it’s looking for the Mammy bird but the Mammy bird has taken the baby birds out for a fly and then she’s going to drop them off at bird school!” If she’s right I hope those baby birds don’t tweet on their tests… 🐦
5. Lent. Well, lent finished today so that meant it was a day full of chocolate! Chocolate digestives for breakfast, those little Malteaser bunny sweets at lunchtime and then Ben & Jerrys chocolate ice cream after tea. Feel completely sick now and probably quite happy to go another 8 weeks without any more chocolate! I was going to put a cheesy chocolate joke in here but realised all my readers would do is snicker. 🍫

DAY 23 – 9 April 2020

Well it’s been quite a day! I woke up feeling very relaxed and refreshed and raring to go. To my surprise the kids and Steph slept in so it was just me by myself pottering about and getting all my jobs done. Once everyone was up, washed and dressed we all jumped in the car and went out for the most wonderful long drive hardly seeing a soul but instead some stunning scenery. We found a pub in the middle of nowhere which was open and serving food so we sat in the beer garden having lunch and a couple of cheeky drinks and just soaking up the rays. There was a playground area so the kids went off to play nicely together. Unfortunately M fell off the swings and started crying but no matter what we did he wouldn’t stop.
It was only at that point I woke up and realised it was 4.15am and M was crying in his room. And so started Day 23…

So what are the highlights I’m allowed to share?:

1. E and Mammy spent a lot of time today preparing their Easter egg scene. After much debate they agreed on a spring field theme complete with flowers, chicks and a couple of a very fluffy sheep! I never knew thick paint was the way to go rather than felt tip pens, but hey, who am I to interfere in craft activities! 🐑
2. We did actually have to pop out today and E found it really difficult she had to stay in the car. When we drove past McDonald’s she asked if we could go there for lunch. Now she knows that all restaurants are closed but I thinking seeing it in the flesh just made it harder to comprehend. “I know” she said “we can just drive round the back and get it through the window!” Oh if only! 🍔
3. After his early morning antics, M was shattered all day but is still a bottomless pit and eating everything in sight. Unfortunately he is yet to master noticing the difference between real food and the plastic food we have for his play kitchen. Who knew that a plastic avocado could be so tasty! 🥑
4. I hosted the first work quiz tonight over Zoom which seemed to go well even if the questions were a tad challenging. Requests immediately followed for specialist rounds next week and apparently it’s going to feature 70s rock, Love Island and Harry Potter questions so that could be interesting. The compulsory drink in hand definitely added an extra something to the event – including far too much abuse about my love of musicals! It’s not my fault no one else knew the answers! 🎤
5. My darling daughter announced this evening that she would lead me in an exercise routine so that I could “get rid of that big tummy. Not that I’m calling it fat” After some star jumps and lots of running round the living room she announced I could have a “Paw Patrol break” which seems to consist of sitting on the couch whilst she watches an episode and then we repeat. Some weird circuit training but who knows, it might work and then I can look to get some sponsorship from the makers of Paw Patrol!!! 🐶

DAY 22 – 8 April 2020

Well another evening already and I’m delighted to report it has been another excellent day in Casa Low! That sun has continued to shine brightly, the birds have continued to sing loudly and M’s nappies continue to be just about bearable.
After last night’s post I had to promise my wife that I wouldn’t use her in derogatory terms tonight. I mean I agreed of course given how much I love her but it is a shame I can’t share the excellent material she regularly provides with you all.
Fortunately neither of my children are on Facebook (the kids these days are all on Insta and Snapchat) so they can’t stop me talking about them. They did spend most of the day with their mother due to work so no doubt some of her hilarious antics will have rubbed off!
Top 5 today was tough but here we go:

1. I came down the stairs this afternoon and walked into the middle of a game of hide and seek which has clearly been a popular pastime during lockdown as E had taken it to a whole new level. Now, there are really only limited places to hide in a house when you are 5 yet Steph genuinely couldn’t find her! It turned out she had wedged herself behind the tent in our living room, so whilst Steph had checked in the tent she hadn’t thought to look behind it – outwitted by a 5 year old! 🤭
2. Now M also loves a game of hide and seek, but in particular loves to hide even when we aren’t playing. His current favourite is to hide whenever a clean nappy is taken out of the bag ready for change time. The only thing he hasn’t learnt is that we can still see him even if he can’t see us. So standing in the middle of the living room with his hands over his face doesn’t present as big a challenge as he seems to think! 🤦🏼
3. The little time I had with E today was focused on teaching her some important life skills aka giving her chores. It turns out that she “really enjoys” doing the washing up and that she “needs to learn these things for when I am married to Jamie”. Perhaps a little bit of female empowerment wouldn’t go amiss and I definitely need to sit down to have a chat with my future son in law when this lockdown comes to any end. 🤵🏼
4. Our daily lunchtime walk was unfortunately the one negative of today as we didn’t even get out the front door! After telling the kids to get their shoes on, I came into the living room to chase them up only to find M fast asleep on the couch and E very close. Now, I know M likes a dummy when he sleeps but hogging 3 is just OTT. What’s even better is he’s started having a single suck on each one, tasting each in turn like some kind of food critic, before deciding which one he wanted. Picture a tennis player choosing which of 3 identical balls they are going to serve with. 🎾
5. The kids have developed a new found love of our indoor swimming pool. Now you and I might just call it a shower but through the wondrous eyes of my kids it is a huge adventure playground where they both belt out some tunes (mainly the hits from Frozen and Frozen 2) and play incredibly imaginative games which I won’t even try to understand. I genuinely don’t think they realise they are getting washed as they play! Oh to be an innocent child, where the biggest stress is whether your parents have realised they each gave you a dessert that evening. 🚿

DAY 21 – 7 April 2020

Well, what a difference a good nights sleep makes! Suddenly Monday becomes Tuesday and the weather seems a little brighter, the birdsong seems a little sweeter and the dirty nappies seem a little less pungent! I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and energised and invincible. M got up at 7am and E just after 8am. We couldn’t believe it!
So, to whoever snuck into our house overnight and swapped back our children and took away their evil twins, thank you thank you thank you!!! 🙏🏻
The tantrums were replaced with pleases and thank yous. Hating meals was replaced with empty plates. The naughty step wasn’t even mentioned let alone used. So all in all Steph behaved herself too.
I can’t help but think the good weather is a blessing at the moment with the kids spending big chunks of the day out in the garden burning off their energy and getting some fresh air. Check me out with my new found optimism and rose tinted glasses. Watch this space just in case it all comes crashing down tomorrow!
So, what were the snippets of joy that filled my day?

1. I took the kids out for our usual lunchtime walk which was particularly pleasant today in the midday sun. E likes to drag her heels and seems to come up with inventive excuses as to why. Today we started with role playing of Princess Jasmine (who, incidentally gets whatever she wants whenever she wants it) but when almost home we had a very strange exchange.
“Come on E, keep up!”
“Sorry Daddy, I was speaking to the mole”
“What mole?”
“The mole back there… he wanted me to…. to take my pants off. He’s a rude mole.”
I’m not sure whether to be concerned or just laugh, as the woman walking past at the time did! 👸🏼
2. Another E classic from tonight.
“Daddy can we watch Paw Patrol?”
“No E, M is watching In the Night Garden before he goes to bed.”
“But after that can we? Can you teach me how to change the channel with the controller like a big girl. Because I am a big girl and I need to know these things. Because I’ll need to do it myself soon when I move out into my own house and marry Jamie!”
How on earth did we get from Paw Patrol to her moving out and marrying Jamie?!? 👰
3. M has continued his switch from hunger strike to gannet, eating everything in sight! Suddenly his 4 square meals a day and all his snacks inbetween are insufficient and he has to resort to eating the soft furnishings too. I’m guessing my essential trips to the supermarket will be increasing in frequency! 🛋
4. My wife and daughter spent the morning doing Easter activities like something out of a storybook. Lovely crafting skills being developed and some beautiful decorations and Easter cards to show for it at the end. The most important thing to come out of this however was a reminder that there’s only 3 sleeps until the end of lent and we can break into the chocolate stash!!!!! 🐣
5. I’ve had to replace my last one this evening with something that has only just happened. Steph will kill me for sharing but she’s just asked if I’m still writing my diary and when I said yes she asked if I needed any more “antidotes”!! Think she meant anecdotes and has just been watching too much news recently! 💊

DAY 20 – 6 April 2020

I can basically sum up today with a single GIF! No schooling, no patience and more cracks here than when making omelettes! Even writing in my diary feels like a step too far. I’m therefore going straight to the 5 lows of the day:

1. 4am starts. He’s not big and he’s not funny yet M is adamant he is both and has developed a phobia of sleeping past 4am. Lying in bed ignoring him does not work and eventually I had to drag my carcass through to his room to find him wide awake and ready for some Peppa Pig (the only thing he would stop crying for). Oh woe me! What has my life become?!? 🐷
2. Mondays. How can every other day of the week blur into each other yet a Monday is very clearly a Monday and brings with it all the usual negatives of a blue Monday? I did have a fleeting thought that it was a four day week this week (normally a cause for celebration and hope!) but let’s be honest it isn’t like we are going away for a long weekend!! 🔵
3. Trashed lunch. My wonderful wife made me a really tasty BBQ chicken wrap for lunch, coming upstairs to drag me off my computer and surprise me with the news the kids were already fed and my lunch was ready in the kitchen. I bounded down the stairs thinking that perhaps my Monday was looking up, only to find my perfectly prepared lunch completely trashed and strewn across the kitchen floor with my monster son nibbling round the edges. How he managed that whilst leaving the plate untouched on the counter is beyond me. 🧽
4. Toddler on the loose. Straight after lunch I took the horror bags out for their walk just to get some fresh air. We take M’s pushchair so we can hopefully put him in at some point and then push him off to sleep. The point at which he is put in the pushchair is getting earlier and earlier on each walk as he is just not interested in walking the same way as Daddy and E. The speed of the boy is something else as well. I need reactions of a preying mantis and the speed of a cheetah. I think tomorrow I’ll just strap him before we go out the door! 🐆
5. Our Five-ager. Not to be outdone by her younger sibling, E also chose today to search very hard and managed to find every single one of her mother’s buttons, making sure each and every one were pushed multiple times. Lovely stories of Mammy/daughter dance routines and games in the garden were quickly replaced with screaming matches and a LOT of stomping. When her tea was yucky and thrown over the floor (the second meal of the day to seal its fate in this way – see above) enough was definitely enough and Daddy was put in charge of bedtime! 😤

DAY 19 – 5 April 2020

🎵 Easy like Sunday morning! 🎵 Some decent weather and (unless you want to be a prat and go sunbathing in a park) nowhere to go. I managed to get out first thing for a little run and then back in time for the list of gardening tasks set by my wife before a cheeky little BBQ. With all this time at home I keep thinking the to do list will be getting shorter but weirdly the opposite is true. Not sure how that is happening!
Steph spent all day working so I was in charge of the two mini-mes. Now, on social media most people like to pretend their children are perfect or, at the very least, pretty close. By Day 19 I’ve given up all pretence. My children are horrors! This has never been so clearly demonstrated as by events today:

1. It’s amazing how many mornings at the moment I am waking up and finding one or other of the monsters in my bed. I suppose I should be thankful for the nights where I don’t hear them come in but it’s still a shock when I roll over for a cuddle and there’s someone in a Elsa onesie staring back at me! I’ve also had to stop sleeping in the nude! 🛌
2. Out in the garden and one of E’s favourite things to do is fill the bird feeders. We have a mix of seeds and fat balls. E filling one feeder with the seeds and the box of fat balls is on the grass. Only 6 left. No wait, 5 left. M’s decided to start eating one…. 🥴
3. After being told he can’t eat fat balls, and despite (or perhaps because of) refusing most meals over the last 19 days, M today decided that eating constantly is the way forward. Now don’t get me wrong, I certainly don’t begrudge feeding my children(!) but this grazing now makes it impossible to get anything done! If I don’t react immediately to his demands he goes running off with his bowl to Mammy who of course immediately takes his side and assumes I’ve been starving the boy. She doesn’t realise that in the past 15 minutes he’s had a bag of Pombears, a banana, a box of raisins and a Soreen bar and there’s only another 15 minutes before lunchtime! 🐽
4. A nice calm family teatime. You can picture it I’m sure! The kids eating nicely (for a change) and no bickering. Daddy feeling very happy with himself. During dessert the littlest monster stuck his hand down into his highchair, pulled his nappy to one side and fountained onto the floor. I mean that is just gross! And bless his sister for volunteering to clean up the puddle! 💦
5. Finishing with something positive! Whilst M was having his afternoon nap, E and Daddy made gingerbread mice (as per the Gruffalo cookbook). It was a lovely bit of teamwork even if they did end up looking like overcooked prawn tempura. Fortunately they taste lush! 🐭

DAY 18 – 4 April 2020

Saturday night eh? Not sure how we got here. First day of E’s Easter holidays and a very wise woman told me this morning that it should make this lockdown easier as there’s no expectation of #HomeSchooling for 2 weeks. Only problem with that is that normally we would be able to go somewhere with the monsters, day trips, usually a visit to see family, play dates etc. School holidays trapped in your house with your children 24/7 do not, in my book at least, count as real holidays.
A definite highlight of today was hosting the first Durham City Aquatics online quiz which I think went really well. It wasn’t until afterwards I realised I was up against Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway but there were a lot of similarities as I saw into a lot of people’s living rooms and, like Ant, I had a little sidekick too.
A few little observations for today:

1. Back to shop today. It was necessary (not just a jaunt) and as always it was nice change of scenery. Every 3 minutes there was an announcement reminding shoppers to stay 2 metres apart. It appears that almost everyone heard that announcement for what it was – a reminder to be socially responsible. It also appears that 4 or 5 people heard it as a cancellation of the social distancing rules and took it as a personal mission to get as close to me as possible whilst passing by. Now, I enjoy a complete stranger rubbing up against me just as much as the next man but perhaps not in the current climate! 👥
2. I’m worried E is beginning to hit her lockdown wall. We are up to about 4 tantrums a day. Most unnecessary one today was about Daddy’s attempt to help paint a flower.
“Daddy, can you paint a sunflower”
“I’ll have a go”
“DADDY that’s a sunflower. I wanted a daffodil!”
“Well you didn’t say that, you said a sunflower. I’m just trying to help you”
“YOU’VE RUINED IT DADDY. THESE ARE ALL DAFFODILS AND THAT DOESN’T LOOK RIGHT. IT’S THE WRONG SHAPE. WHAT IS THE POINT?” Cue screaming, stomping and then tears 🤬
3. The weather seems to be improving. Great! We piled our into the garden this morning to do some sand art(!) and a bit of light gardening. Lots of photos from other parts of the country showing lovely sunny weather. Might have a BBQ tomorrow. But I can’t help but feel that actually the sun wasn’t really here and it was quite cold. The last thing we need now is disappointing weather! 🥶
4. Right, I’ll make this as clear as I possibly can so even M understands. It. Is. Completely. Unnecessary. And. Unacceptable. For. You. To. Start. The. Day. At. 4.30AM! Your mother is exhausted and if you’re not careful she’s going to start expecting Daddy to get up with you and that will not end well for anyone. You have been warned! 🥱
5. Most men (don’t mean that to be sexist!) appear to have been clearing out their garages alongside all those other jobs they have been putting off for years. I am no exception and happened upon a box full of hats, which then came in handy for the quiz tonight. Whilst clearly this is complete justification for having a box of hats stored away untouched for 10+ years (ready for emergency events like this) apparently I just keep “crap” for no good reason and everything of mine should be thrown out immediately presumably to make room for a gin store or multiple shoe racks. Sod that, I’m sticking to my guns!! 🎩

DAY 17 – 3 April 2020

Everything is back to front these days. Normally going to the shops or taking the bin in are tedious chores – now they are weekly highlights. Normally Friday night is when we kick back, relax and have a drink – now we’ve drunk the house dry over the last 4 nights so we’re left tearing the house apart looking for any left over Christmas presents that contain miniatures!
The #HomeSchooling continues and we are onto day I already. E picked Ice so cue some very cold scientific experiments (more below). I’ll confess I’m quite relieved that we get 2 days off from that although big decision whether we start the Easter holidays proper and put away all the jotters and workbooks and worksheets for a fortnight.
Today was actually a busy day and we didn’t stop so here’s my top 5:

1. Street Dancing. After being rained off yesterday my amazing neighbours came out in force for our first ever Street Dance this afternoon. I can only describe it as being back at uni on a Tuesday night out and it gets to 1am in the club and you’ve had a skinful. You think you suddenly know how to dance and all your inhibitions have gone as an absolute CHOON comes on. The only difference now is you suddenly realise your kids are there. And your neighbours. And the dog walkers passing the bottom of the street. And you’re outside. And it’s the middle of the afternoon. And you’re sober. In this crazy world I now can’t wait for next week! 🕺🏼
2. Grandad. Grandad Jim turned up today to drop off some essentials including a circus tent for the kids to play with. It very quickly became a sleepover tent and weirdly a bumper car. The kids were very keen to help erect it and whilst E probably did help, M just ended up sitting on the floor sucking the poles! 🎪
3. Ice. My wife was in charge of ice experiments today. From what I can gather, all she did was throw some small plastic toys into ice cube trays and chuck that in the freezer. She then got them out later on and got E to pour various things on them, salt, bicarbonate, vinegar etc. What appears to have been learnt is that Emma likes the smell of vinegar and she now keeps trying to sniff the bottle. Great stuff! 🧊
4. Joseph. I sat with the kids tonight and watched Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat live on YouTube. I haven’t seen it for years but boy do the songs all come back just like it was yesterday. Trying to explain why Joan Collins was ripping off Donny Osmond’s clothes was a bit awkward and apparently Daddy doesn’t have a good singing voice. Clearly I need to work on my singing AND dancing! 🎶
5. Cheese. I went to the fridge this morning and it just sighed and said “what now?” This is a big problem with #RemoteWorking and I’m trying very hard not to snack, but today has been all about the cheese. I am genuinely growing whiskers and a tail. Emmental, Apricot Wensleydale and Brie were all consumed and of course my kids won’t touch any as they are not Scottish cheese. Apparently that’s all they will eat on the cheese front, but I think they’re just pulling my leg as I know they are always up to no Gouda. 🧀

DAY 16 – 2 April 2020

Well not really sure what happened as I’m pretty sure I’ve just finished writing Day 15. Today has disappeared in a flash and I’m not sure how. I can’t help wondering if we’re all in some kind of time wormhole meaning when we come out the other side of this we could be back in the 19th century or else moved forward into 2120. Either way I’m pleased we still have a good, healthy supply of toilet roll to get us through!
E’s choices for the daily themes continue and weirdly she picked Healthy Eating for day H. Not quite sure how she even knows what that is given she would very happily live entirely on chicken nuggets, chips and ketchup (3 times a day). But her wish is our command and she had Weetabix for breakfast. That was about it to be honest as the shift pattern for Steph and I went out the window today and somehow we just muddled through to bedtime – my hair dressing skills are continuing to develop so that is something I suppose!
We went out to clap the NHS again tonight 👏 which coincided with taking the bin out. I mean when has taking the bin out ever counted as a weekly highlight? The answer is NOW – any legal and justifiable trip out of this house, no matter how short, is pure ecstasy!
Top 5 for today (roll the Top of the Pops music):

1. So, why would my wife decide to conduct a fire drill during my important multi party video conference call? Well, quite. I haven’t the foggiest either. Something about sausages and smoke interspersed with some very rude words so I’m none the wiser. And anyway, she told me off for wanting to do a fire drill on Day 2 but now it’s suddenly ok for her to try and get me to evacuate? 🔥
2. Den construction seems to be moving to a new level. After a strong start yesterday and presumably buoyed by the fact that her basic structure was not trashed by our two whirlwinds, I came down this afternoon to find a more elaborate design today including a fully stocked kitchen. I decided I had to bring her down a peg or two before she started trying multi story dens which would inevitably end in disaster. Well some things escalate quickly at the moment and apparently “Leave these things to a man, love” is not appropriate! 🙊
3. Nice little trip out with the kids at lunchtime – another daily highlight – however the sass that E is showing at the moment has reached another level. She’s 5 for goodness sake! Don’t you dare tell your Daddy he has to take the photo on your “best side” or that you have to swish your hair before the photo is taken! 📸
4. Peppa Pig. Right I’ve really tried hard not to comment on some of the nonsense the kids watch but this episode was ridiculous. Peppa gets a French penpal. Fair enough. They talk a bit of basic French. Possibly educational. The penpal is a Donkey. Acceptable given that they are all talking animals. After speaking on the phone (from France) the next day she turns up at Peppa’s door. I mean, how? Why would you do that after 1 letter? And how rude just turning up without being invited. Oh and she took her whole family! Height of rudeness if you ask me! If E has a penpal I’ll be unimpressed if they just rock up with their whole family at my house one day, regardless of whether there are muddy puddles! 🐷
5. And M. He’s only 1 but apparently going on 17. Constantly watching everything and sussing out what is naughty and not allowed and then immediately doing exactly that! Fingers in plug sockets, dancing on the coffee table, climbing over the back of the couch, breaking into the booze cupboard, and all that before breakfast. He then just grins as if butter wouldn’t melt. I am genuinely concerned what we are raising here…. 😈

DAY 15 – 1 April 2020

Cracks and strain everywhere. A 3.45am start this morning (thanks M!) did not set us up well today and we’ve had two tired children all day and a very cranky Daddy. This evening was basically tantrum after tantrum, extreme mood swings and constant niggling with repeated demands for food and drink and a refusal to go to bed. But I finally got Steph tucked in and then sorted the kids out.
E has picked her themes this week (she’s a big girl you know) and today was G. She picked God much to the delight of Great Grandma Marian I’m sure! Cue some very interesting discussions…
I should also mention that we are continuing with our #RemoteWorking during all of this. Not quite sure how we’re managing that balance but so long as clients and colleagues don’t mind hear the echoes of screaming and fighting in the background I’m sure we can carry on working side by side.
Right, so onto today’s top 5:

1. “So E, what do you know about God?”
“He lives in the sky Daddy and looks down on us. But he’s also everywhere like in the ground and in the grass. Oh no I walked on the grass so I think I stood on God!” 🤨
2. “How do you talk to God, E?”
“That’s easy Daddy. You send him a card” 💌
3. Den building went down a storm this morning with architect Mammy in charge. It was so structurally robust that even Bulldozer M couldn’t take it down! Maybe she should be in charge of all future DIY! 🚜
4. Lots of people are suggesting we should be learning new skills with all this extra time at home. I’ve decided to learn hair styling by using E as my model – I’m all over the plaits and need to push onto something more challenging! 👱‍♀️
5. School night drinking is now definitely becoming a problem. Our bottle bin normally only gets taken out every 4 weeks but it is full already and was emptied 5 days ago! I suspect everyone else is in the same boat but please feel free to reassure me before I sign up for some meetings (remote ones of course!) 🍷
